The Business in the Community (BITC) awards have recognised Marshalls for their work in improving the working conditions of those in the supply chain of their stone products.
Marshalls won the BITC Big Tick for the Coffey International Award at the Yorkshire & Humberside BITC awards ceremony in Leeds.
The awards recognise businesses who support the United Nations Millennium Development Goals which aim to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, improve health conditions and ensure environmental sustainability.
Marshalls has been actively working in support of the UN's Millennium Development Goals since 2007 with the launch of a programme of activity in the Kota region of Rajasthan, India.
Chris Harrop (pictured), Marshalls group marketing director, said: "The Coffey International Award is particularly important to Marshalls because it recognises all of the work that we’ve done to ensure that sustainable and responsible business practices are at the heart of what we do.
