One of the driving forces behind the nursery plant supplier collective Somerstock, are Steve and Tina Jeffries, who have been long standing supporters of the Landscape Juice Network.

Somerstock is a co-operative of family owned nurseries, selling a wide range of nursery stock to the wholesale trade, which has been trading for more than 20 years.

One of the things we wanted exhibitors of the show to enjoy was the long term benefit of an online presence.

New glasshouse for Palmstead Nurseries

The official opening of a new glasshouse at Palmstead Nurseries will take place next week.

Ashford MP, Damian Green, will have the honour of opening the glasshouse, which will cover a hectare of ground and help in the production of over a million and half young plants each year.

Bob Chapman, joint managing director of Palmstead Nurseries, said: "We needed to upgrade our old propagation house and increase the proportion of plants we raise ourselves.

Marshalls Garden Scrapbook helps track inspirational ideas

Headline sponsor of the show, Marshalls, has launched an online design tool called the Marshalls Garden Scrapbook.

It has been developed to encourage people to tackle their outdoor projects and be more creative in their garden planning.

Garden designer group, response from first tour - Wild Flower Turf blog

Even though it was a cold and blustery late afternoon for our first group, the Wildflower Talk and Tour around the production site on the farm was a great success.  Starting with a talk given by James which lasted around half an hour, the group went out to brave the elements and see the turf growing at every stage of production.

Roll up, roll up to see Wild Flower Turf at the show

You can not have missed the growing appeal of wild flower meadows and green roofs, not only do they have a natural appeal they are good for insects and other wildlife.

So rolling up to the show in October will be Wild Flower Turf with examples of their unique soil-less roof, meadow and lawn turf.

The flower seed mix in the turf is carefully chosen to produce flowering plants from early in the spring through to the middle of the autumn.

Vectorworks Training has designs on Creating Landscapes Show

Garden and landscape designers can pick up some tips, tricks and ideas from the Vectorworks Training team as they will be attending the show in October.
